THE POINT AT WHICH I SEEK HELP - Week 4 : Part 2

the picture with its white and grey overpainting - still not right - the point at which I seek 'help'
I am a bit lost and consult an artist friend to ‘explore my feelings’ about what I am doing. In the process I reaffirm my intention and discover a way forward.
This involves layering on white, and then a dark olive or khaki-grey. The white perks the thing up a bit but adding the grey flattens it out again. Neither resolve the problem as I see it.
In desperation I turn to a mixture of white with teal – one of base colours and smear that on, simplifying shapes and lines.
I turn the painting several times.
I keep going and something altogether more coherent and calm emerges.
I stop. I am finished.
