The words of Neil MacGregor in his book 'Living with the Gods’ sum up how I feel about my subject or practice focus better than I could ever have pinpointed. He calls this concern with explaining the way we experience the world and the role all living things play in the repeating patterns ‘a constant dialogue between community and the great scheme of things’ that seeks to explain and define ‘our place in the pattern’.
I am thrilled to read this book again. Its reminding me of where my artistic interests lie.
