My current work reflects a decision I made a year ago in 2019, to turn inwards and look intently at the idea of 'home'.
For me 'home' is NW Surrey and this work is my instinctive response to the experience of daily walks in the woodlands and heathlands near where I live. In these landscapes are the footsteps of my youth; the place I am from - the place that (for good or bad) measures how I respond to all other places.
For that reason it is the centre of my world; its starting point and anchor. So I called this project 'Omphalos'.
